'BNZ in Cambridge' by Meryl Lowrie

Brief Description
Booklet with soft cover and 20 pages with regards to a Century of Service of the Bank of New Zealand in Cambridge compiled by Meryl Lowrie, research officer at the BNZ Archives.
A branch of the BNZ was opened in Ngaruawahia in May 1864 by James Hume. In February he opened a branch in Hamilton and a month later, on 8 March 1875, he opened the Cambridge branch.
Frank Jefcoate Brooks became manager in October 1875 and he remained in the position until 1905. (He was then Town Clerk from 1906 until 1920.) Later managers were – James Hayward Hammond, William Henry Vickers, Henry Rowland, Francis Edmond Coote, William Eric Westlake, John Frederick Earnshaw, Edward Fortescue Wright, Donald James McWilliam, and Douglas H Searle.
