Brief Description
1) 'Elementary Building Construction and Drawing' by Edward J Burrell.
Small hard cover book of 276 pages. Compiled from notes of lectures delivered to the Day Students of the People's Palace Technical School produced to meet the demand for a suitable text book at a reasonable price.
Chapters include brickwork, stonework, wood joints, floors, partitions, wood roofs, slating, plumbing, doors, windows, rolled-iron, cast-iron, cantilevers, materials and iron roofs. There is also the examination papers for the years 1886 – 1899.
