Brief Description
1. South Auckland Brass Band Union was formed to bring bands closer together and hold contests among each other. The first contest was in 1933 and in Easter 1949 it was held in Cambridge. President was K L Wilkinson.
2. Cambridge C Grade second annual Pipe Band Contest April 1951. Patrons were G F Sim M P, W C Wallace, A H Nicholl. Chief was T C Wallace. Chieftains J Christie, J Kerr and C Boyce.
