Brief Description:
A booklet on the development of farming life in early Cambridge, particularly dairying.
The Cambridge Co-op Dairy Co Ltd was incorporated on 17 July 1901 with a capital of £4,000. Mr W F Buckland was engaged as solicitor and the signatories of the Memorandum of Association were:- James Taylor, Jared Allwill, Norman Banks, Joseph Grainger Ward, Thomas Henry Kelly, Manly John Ashwin, Martin Butler, Andrew McFarlane, Durham Ashwin, Andrew Potts, Arnold Blackman, Henry Brindle, Charles Lake, Thomas Wynyard Brown, Thomas Wattam, William John Andrew, Edmund O'Keefe, Charles Crouch, William Henry Brough, Robert Crickett, Hugh Ferguson, John Wm Herbert Epps, Beer Bros and William Henry Hall.
The chairmen were James Taylor, Edward Allen, Mervyn Wells, Forbes Anderson and Wilfred Harbutt.
The booklet covers the factories of Hautapu, Fencourt, Monavale and Roto-o-rangi.
