A typical meeting – "12 September 1974. The meeting started at 7.30pm with apologies. Members then took part in exercises and were then weighed. Eleven gained weight, 13 lost weight and 3 stayed the same. There was one new member. Seven members were fined for eating biscuits and kumeras and the next week's Denial Draw was Nuts and Honey.
The raffle, a lace tablecloth, was drawn."
