Title / Name
Letter from W R McVeagh

Brief Description
Handwritten letter to Kenny Wilkinson from W R McVeagh in 1952, with regards to the opening of the first Catholic School in Cambridge. He says,

"As far, or as near that I can guess, the school was started in or about the year 1886, in an abandoned building that had been the officers' quarters of the Armed Constabulary. The buildings (2) were long, wooden and comprised about half a dozen rooms, side by side, and a verandah along the whole frontage, about 100ft long, and situated behind the present Court House."
