Brief Description
Small card folded into three for the O & G Racing Club's Winter Meeting held in the Town Hall, 22 August 1947. The motto was 'Pay up, Pay up and Play the Game'. Races were named 'Brewers' Bracelet', 'Garage Gallop', 'Solicitors Steeples', 'Plunket Plate', 'Obstetrical Obstacle' and 'O & G Memorial'. The last Rule was 'Any rule not mentioned above will be strictly enforced.'
Event run as part of appeal for £100,000 to endow a Chair of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Hospital for Women.
