Title / Name
'Tales of Pioneer Women' collected by the Women's Institutes of New Zealand and edited by A W E Woodhouse of Timaru.

Brief Description
Many books had been written telling of the part played by our great grandfathers in the colonization of New Zealand, but it was left to the women of the 1930s to record the part played by our great grandmothers. There are eighty-one authentic tales in the book that tell of the lives of women pioneers in every part of the country, and paint a vivid picture of the home-life of the early colonial days.
