An 18 page booklet researched and compiled by Doug H Payne.
Approximately 16 acres of farmland was bought on the Cambridge to Hamilton road in the 1950s and 60s. The foundation stone was laid 26 June 1965 and the first resident, Mrs Trounson, was welcomed by Sister Edith James on 14 May 1966.
Subsequent Matrons (up to 1986) were Mrs Rona Hunt, Mrs Amy Sievwright, Mrs Kath Dibble, Mrs Jean Barnett, Mrs Grace Roneyne and Mrs Joyce Farley.
