Brief Description
George Ranstead was born into a hunting family at Matangi in 1923 and was well qualified to write this history. It covers The Beginning, The Browns, The Hunt Farm, Socials, Rules, Finances, The Pack, Point-to-Point days, Waikato Hunt Club races, and People and Hunters.
In the appendices there is the 1990 Members List, Officers 1876 – 1991, Waikato Hunt Club Steeplechase, Farmers Steeplechase, and Of Ballads, Songs and Snatches. Liberally illustrated with photographs. Signed by the author.
