Title / Name
Waikato New Zealand 1928

Brief Description
Soft cover foolscap book of 176 pages giving, by picture and word, something of the character of each town and district in the Waikato.
'Cambridge has been called the garden of the Waikato. Not only the town but the surrounding farmlands have a park-like appearance. In the early days of the settlement a few earnest tree-lovers made their abode there and planted Old World shelter trees and hedges near and far. These have flourished, and now their comely form gives a companionable air to the garden town. Trees in the parks, trees in the street, trees on farms and in town gardens, many of them spreading wide circles of shade and towering to a splendid height.
'From Auckland and other cities many people come to Cambridge for a restful holiday. The locality is famed for its healthfulness, the hills nearby having once been used for a Government sanatorium.'
